Turn your footage into a clear story.
We edit supplied video into focused pieces for social media, advertising, and business communication, with pacing, captions, and exports suited to the intended use.
Decide what the viewer should take away.
A folder of footage is a starting point, not yet a finished brief. We ask who the video is for, what it needs to explain, where it will appear, and what action should follow. We then review the source material to see whether it supports that purpose.
The material may include an interview, product demonstration, presentation, or several shorter clips. We identify the strongest usable moments and any gaps that require additional capture. That assessment helps avoid an edit that relies on a shot or explanation that does not exist.
Shape the story before polishing the surface.
We develop the sequence around the central idea. The opening establishes the subject, the middle explains or demonstrates it, and the ending provides an appropriate conclusion or next step. Pacing follows the content and platform; cutting faster is not automatically the best way to keep someone engaged.
For an interview or presentation, we preserve the speaker’s meaning when selecting excerpts. Context matters, especially where a short clip could imply something different from the full answer. You review the selection and factual interpretation before final delivery.
Make the edit work where it will be watched.
We plan aspect ratio, framing, on-screen text, and captions around the agreed channels. A vertical social edit may require a different composition from a landscape website video. Cropping a finished piece mechanically can remove a person, product detail, or important text.
We check caption accuracy, legibility, audio levels, transitions, and the agreed brand elements. Music, stock footage, and other third-party assets need suitable rights for the intended use. We identify those requirements as part of the production scope.
Review in stages with consolidated feedback.
The first review focuses on the sequence, message, and selected material. Later checks can address detailed timing, captions, and polish. That order makes feedback more efficient than refining a section that will ultimately be removed.
We agree revision rounds, reviewers, and deadlines before editing. Feedback is most useful when tied to a timecode and a clear issue. A change in the video’s purpose or a large new set of footage may require an updated scope, which we discuss before proceeding.
Prepare the final handoff.
We deliver the agreed exports and caption files where included, with clear names and versions. We inspect the finished files rather than assume a successful export means everything is correct. The handoff specifies the intended channel and any asset or licensing conditions relevant to use.
For ongoing work, we can connect editing with social content production or advertising creative. A longer source recording can support several outputs when each edit has a clear purpose and sufficient context.
Use audience feedback without losing the message.
If performance review is included, we examine the available viewing and response signals in relation to the video’s role. A short instructional clip and a considered service explanation should not be judged by the same expectation. We look for places where the message is unclear or the edit makes understanding unnecessarily difficult.
The next brief can then improve the opening, footage requirements, or explanation. Useful production learning often starts before the next shoot, when the team can capture the material the previous edit lacked.
Video editing questions.
Can you work with phone footage?
Often, yes. We review the resolution, orientation, stability, sound, and lighting first. Editing can improve the presentation but cannot reliably recover information that was never captured. We explain any source limitations before committing to the output.
Is filming included?
This service focuses on editing supplied material. Filming, travel, equipment, talent, and specialist production are separate unless expressly included. We can help prepare a capture brief so your team knows what to record.
Can you add captions and multiple formats?
Yes. The proposal specifies caption requirements, aspect ratios, durations, and the number of versions. We check those outputs individually because a useful horizontal edit may need more than a resize to work vertically.
How do we start?
Share the source material or a sample, the intended use, approximate output needs, deadline, and brand assets. Send us your video brief and we can assess the edit and handoff requirements.
